Spent two days building an eight foot extension from the stairs to the grass pavers. Formally, there was a step down from the grass pavers on to 8 feet of pavers then a step up to the bottom stair. The 8 feet of pavers collected dirt and grass clippings which got dragged into the house. Mrs K felt there was a tripping hazard.
The construction involved removing 10 pavers, 2 grass pavers (66 lbs each), removing quite a bit of dirts (about 2 wheelbarrows worth, leveling and the constructing the platform. Made a few trivial journeyman mistakes, but it worked. The decking I brought from Virginia was a bit darker than the porch decking, but we said screw it. Had to buy 2 more 16 foot Trex planks to finish the project.

Cut the grass today and weed wacked. A mile plus of walking. Back and forth. I reduced my footprint of what I cut. I used to cut from the pad to our left and about 20 feet to the right of the house. In back I used to go about 30 feet. Said screw it. I consider that common area and the community cutter should handle that. We have a vacant lot on our left and our right.
Went to the beach a couple of days for about 2 hours each day. Went late on the day to avoid the crowds.
Road my bike and walked just about every day. Nothing serious. Just enough to stretch the back and elevate my heart rate a bit.
My weight is all over the place. Up and down by approximately 1.5 pounds every day. The cheap Walmart scale is probably part of it. I also think that there is something going on with fluid retention and the toprol added in April of 2024. I’ve noticed these swing since then.
The butt hole drivers continue to not give you a break. It’s rare that someone lets you out. I let 4 people turn in front of me yesterday and the butt behind me beeped. So I let another one pass. There was really no place I could go.
The weather has been okay. Rained this past weekend. Yay. Keeps the crowds down a bit.
Just lost the internet. Spectrum is failing us. Fidium is hanging fiber in town so it may be an option at some point.
Well enough for now.
