Heading North

Well my short return visit will end Monday night. I’ve loaded a few things into the car, but we have one more pickup request for tomorrow. After we drop the little man off we’ll load up the car, get some gas and head towards Mount Holly. We’ll stop for the night then resume our trip around 9. That should avoid the traffic on the Garden Stare, 287 and hopefully 495. With any luck we should get in around 3.
Then the hard part will start.
The traffic.
The agressive drivers who don’t give you a break.
Crowds.
Have some chores to do. Will be extending the porch landing to make for a smooth transition from the driveway to the stairs.
Have to pickup my bike.
Plan out that gravel install around the foundation.
Other things I need to get a handle on and execute.
Piano practice.
French lessons.
Reading.
Daily exercise (bike, walk, dumbbells, tennis ball machine).
Stop bring glued to the tv.
Not there yet and can’t wait to return to Virginia. Nothing I like about Maine. It triggers so much anxiety: having to visit, having to cross rte 1, waiting for something else to fail, worrying about where this community is headed (if was a big mistake thus purchase).
