A New Phone Number

In spite of my best efforts to stop all the spam phone calls I get they continue to be about 40 calls a day. When I was answering them my sense was that it was 5 to 10 call centers initiating these calls.

For the remainder of the month of July I’m going to simply shut the phone off between 8 and 8. I will see if I can do something to the phone which essentially turns it off during that window.

Currently if a call comes in from a number not in my contacts list the call goes directly to voice mail. They rarely leave a message. My voice mail used to say hello wait 5 seconds say hello wait 5 seconds then say leave a message at the tone. That may have given those spammers encouragement.

I’ve gotten a new number once before. Getting the number is easy but updating all the references is a pain.
