Community HOA Inspection

Got an email from the HOA that they are going to inspect the state of the community. There’s lots of violations in the community. There are at least three houses on the street I live on with a lot of violations. My next door neighbor probably has 15 violations. The house needs painting, the house has quite a few rotted panels, the gutters need to be power washed, the trailer has to go, the barrels need to be moved behind the fence, the cooler needs to be put away, the grill needs to be moved, the bike which has never been used needs to be moved, the golf cart batteries need to be removed, the ladder needs to be stored, the lumber needs to be removed, the propane bottles I think need to be moved or hidden, he’s hacked all the shrubs in the front completely. He’s made a complete mess out of the back yard. He’s got a 6 foot fence which allegedly was approved which he erected to keep his dogs (pit bulls) from fighting with the Great Danes next to his home. Well the Great Danes have moved on. There’s a plastic shed.
There’s another one further up the street that’s even more of a mess. He’s had a tree down in his backyard for 2 or 3 years. He’s had an old VCU van in his driveway which hasn’t moved in years. But he’ll whine, played the sick old man card and nothing will change.
I may take some photos before I leave.
It will be interesting to see if anything changes. The owner of the first house on the right is an obstinate butt and I’m sure he’ll argue and nothing will change.
I had two bags of yard waste which I was not able to haul to the dump before we left for Maine so I took those to the dump and cleaned up that area.
I probably will give the shrubs a haircut before we return to Maine.
I think they charge 50 dollars for a home visit. It’s a pity it isn’t 50 dollars per violation. I don’t know that they walk up into the yards and look at the backs. That would be great.
