My rate even in afib while at rest or sleeping is right about 70. It’s set by the pm to maintain that rate.
I observed that in the recovery area. I captured 2 Ecgs at home. While sitting in the chair later in the evening and chilling I’m capturing rates in the mid to high 80s. And it’s varying across recording intervals. The ecg wave looks right though.
So I sent the Dr a note this evening. He never reads them his nurse does and rarely responds in a timely fashion. I’ll start calling in the morning and try to elevate their awareness.
It could be a pm connector detached either in the heart or at the pm. One of the male nurses was a bit rough around the pm while I was awake.
The pm is malfunctioning.
The Medtronic guy was distracted while he was “testing” perhaps he effed up a setting.
Maybe I’m back in afib already but the pm is misinterpreting it and things I’m walking.
Maybe I’m just nuts and should throw these heart watches out.
What I’m most concerned about is this:
Come to the office on Friday
Diagnose the issue
Issue requires immediate attention
Go to the er
Rediagnose the issue
As it’s not dangerous either I’ll piss the whole day in the er waiting around or waiting for a solution 3 weeks from now. But I have the cataract surgery in three weeks. Or they’ll admit me and I’ll sit in cardiac care over the weekend in a death watch until Monday when the doctor comes in.
